| Whereas: | The City of Boston and its residents have a special appreciation for the annual holiday season and the joy and merriment that accompany it; and |
| Whereas: | The song "Christmas in Boston," written by James Melody, has captured the spirit and authenticity of a Bostonian experience during the Christmas season; and |
| Whereas: | Since its debut on WODS Oldies 103.3, "Boston’s Holiday Music Station," the song "Christmas in Boston" has been in rotation on radio stations throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and |
| Whereas: | James Melody has enhanced the goodwill and joyfulness of the Christmas season in the City of Boston; NOW |
| Therefore: | I, Mayor Thomas M. Menino, do hereby join with my fellow Bostonians in thanking Mr. James Melody for his musical accomplishment, and in wishing him much success in all of his future endeavors, and for reminding us all that there is no better time or place than "Christmas in Boston." |
